Skills To Advance: Manual and Computerized Payroll Online Course

Galway and Roscommon Education and Training Board (GRETB) presents a comprehensive Pitman payroll training course, which provides an in-depth introduction to payroll principles in the manual section and in the computerized section.
Learners create real payroll scenarios using Sage Micropay software, in addition to learning about PAYE modernization. This course is fully funded under the Skills to Advance initiative for those in employment.
The course takes place on Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 7 p.m. to 9:30 p.m., starting September 6.
Funded training is available for those employed through the Skills To Advance initiative.
Topics covered include payroll roles and responsibilities, tax calculation, taxation methods, understanding the PRSI, protecting confidential data, income claims, processing newcomers, contributions pension and reports.
The course includes tutor support and Pitman Training certification, and the course duration is eight weeks.
It is required that participants have previously obtained a Level 4 certification and have good computer skills with appropriate internet coverage.
