Schools have also been urged to hold online lessons as much as possible for students in grades 9 to 12. The order was issued by Gautam Buddh Nagar (DIOS) District Inspector of Schools, Dharmveer Singh.
Outdoor activities such as sports will also remain completely prohibited in all schools.
“All schools have been asked to switch to online support to teach pupils up to class 8. They have been asked to switch to online mode for pupils in class 9 to 12 as well where possible “, Singh said.
“However, no outdoor activities such as sports in schools are allowed until November 8.”
Earlier, the National Capital Region (NCR) witnessed bad air as Noida, which is part of the National Capital Region, slipped to an AQI of 393, in the “very poor” category, while that Gurugram’s AQI stood at 318 and continued to remain in the “very poor category”, according to data released by SAFAR (System of Air Quality and Weather Forecasting And Research) India.
