DUBLIN–(BUSINESS WIRE)–The “CPM Beginners Online Course” training has been added to from offer.

This course focuses on clinical project manager (CPM) trial objectives and creating an effective project plan. Considerable attention is given to the critical steps in planning and setting up a clinical trial and defining clear and realistic milestones.

This course examines the key stages of the trial and identifies the main trial activities. Participants will get hands-on practice using project management tools and learn key techniques for effective project management.

All learning takes place within the framework of regulations and rules governing clinical trials and activities based on real case studies and scenarios. During the course, we use several learning styles and methodologies. Sample models and study materials will be reviewed and constructed to reinforce learning concepts.

Online courses take place in virtual classrooms and are instructor-led. Courses will be delivered using our online learning management system (LMS) CGX.

The CPM-accredited CPD online interactive version of the course is delivered 2 days a week. Run 3 hours a day for 3 weeks. Approximately 18 hours of training in total, how will I benefit from this course?

  • Understand how to effectively plan your studies and projects

  • Understand how to effectively manage and control your education budget and finances

  • Understand how to manage your team, cross-functional stakeholders, CROs and vendors

  • Understand how to oversee the quality management of your trial

  • Understand how to identify risks and adopt mitigation and/or contingency strategies

  • Understand how to use effective PM tools and techniques to facilitate study objectives What prior knowledge is needed?

  • BSc. degree in life sciences, public health or other related discipline

  • Clinical trial development experience in a contract research organization (CRO), pharmaceutical company, or other medical environment

  • A previous role in clinical trials, e.g. Clinical Research Associate (CRA), Senior Clinical Project Assistant (CPA) or Associate Clinical Project Manager (ACPM)

  • Demonstrated ability to plan, organize and manage resources to accomplish specific goals and objectives of a study or project in accordance with defined quality and time measures

  • Proven expertise in proactively identifying issues that may impact clinical programs

  • An ability to contribute to solutions affecting cross-functional matrix teams
