Benilde SHS will organize parallel courses online and in person

ESTABLISHED amid the pandemic, Benilde Senior High School (SHS) will soon be hosting blended learning with hybrid component classes, which is a combination of online and in-person sessions, for the first term of the 2022 school year- 2023.

Initially administered for a tenure under an Arts and Design section, the new modality will also be applicable to all other Benilde SHS streams, which will include Accounting and Business Management; general academic component; as well as technical, vocational and subsistence-culinary.

In the new system, all sections are divided into physical and virtual classes. To ensure no one is left behind, classes will have traditional setups conducted synchronously alongside virtual sessions via Zoom or Google Classrooms.

The De La Salle-Collège de Saint Benilde Taft Campus is equipped with comprehensive camera and audio setups that allow home learners to attend live lectures and participate in discussions, recitations and activities in classrooms. physical classrooms, facilities, laboratories and workshops of the school. .

On Fridays, Benilde SHS continues to hold independent study sessions to provide learners with a full day to set and accomplish their performance tasks on their own.

The institution also enforces standard health guidelines such as physical distancing and the use of face masks at all times.

The SHS said attendance at physical classes will be based on the mandate of the Ministry of Education. Students wishing to attend must submit a completed Benilde Commitment Form along with a scanned or digitized copy of their vaccination record.

People who are immunocompromised, have comorbidities, or are part of the most-at-risk population or MARP are encouraged to coordinate with the Benilde Health and Medical Services Center.
